8mm stud extractor for Td5 manifold studs and workshop use
This Draper 8mm / M8 roller-type stud extractor is used for removing seized, damaged or difficult threaded studs. It is especially useful for Td5 exhaust manifold studs, where heat cycles, corrosion and previous work can make old studs awkward to remove cleanly.
The roller-type mechanism grips the stud as load is applied and works in either direction for left- and right-hand threads. The extractor can be driven using a 1/2″ square drive or a 21mm spanner/socket on the hexagon body.
Use with care on badly corroded or weakened studs. If a stud is snapped close to the cylinder head, heavily rounded, or has very little material left to grip, extraction may require a different method.
