Defender 110 Salisbury rear propshaft replacement
This FTC3905G Hardy Spicer rear propshaft is a complete replacement rear propshaft for Land Rover Defender 110 models fitted with the Salisbury rear axle. It is suitable for vehicles where FTC3905 or FTC3905G is specified.
FTC3905G is the earlier Defender 110 Salisbury rear axle propshaft fitment, commonly listed for 300TDI, Td5 and V8 110 models up to the 2002 changeover point. It is not the same as FTC4198, which is used on later non-Salisbury 110 rear axle vehicles.
A worn rear propshaft can cause vibration, knocking, clunking on take-up or play in the universal joints. Wear is more likely if the vehicle has been used off road, used with poor lubrication or driven with tired universal joints.
For best results, replace the propshaft fixings during installation. Fit this propshaft with a fresh propshaft nut and bolt kit and use suitable grease where required.
