TVB100610G front propshaft replacement
This TVB100610G Hardy Spicer front propshaft is a complete replacement front propshaft for Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic applications where TVB100610 or FRC8386 is specified. TVB100610 is the later replacement front propshaft commonly supplied in place of FRC8386.
The useful difference is in the universal joint design. FRC8386 is generally associated with the earlier smaller-UJ front propshaft, while TVB100610 uses the larger STC4807-type wide-angle universal joints. That makes this a later, stronger replacement for the earlier FRC8386-style shaft.
A worn front propshaft can cause vibration, knocking, clunking on take-up or play in the universal joints. Wear is more likely if the vehicle has been used off road, used with poor lubrication or driven with tired universal joints.
For best results, replace the propshaft fixings during installation. Fit this propshaft with a fresh propshaft nut and bolt kit and use suitable grease where required.
