Description

300TDI power steering pump symptoms and fitting notes

A worn 300TDI PAS pump can cause heavy steering at low speed, whining or groaning when turning, fluid leaks around the pump body or shaft seal, and aerated or discoloured fluid in the reservoir.

Before fitting a new pump, check the surrounding power steering parts as well. A damaged bracket, tired hoses, contaminated fluid or a leaking steering box can all affect how the system performs.

If the pump bracket is corroded, cracked or already showing signs of movement, replace it with the ERR2228G 300TDI power steering pump bracket.

Fresh, correct-spec power steering fluid should be used when the system is drained or flushed. See our Land Rover ATF and steering fluid range.

Warranty

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.

Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
