Late Td5 fuel cooler assembly for Defender and Discovery 2
This late-version Td5 fuel cooler assembly (PIB000080) fits Defender Td5 from VIN 4A673267 and Discovery 2 Td5 from VIN 3A828207. It is the complete replacement fuel cooler assembly used on later Td5 vehicles, so the VIN split should be checked carefully before ordering.
The fuel cooler is part of both the Td5 fuel and cooling system area. Replacement may be needed if the cooler body is corroded, damaged, leaking, or if previous seal repairs are no longer a sensible option. Coolant or fuel staining around the cooler should be checked properly before replacing parts.
If the cooler body and end caps are still in good condition and the leak is only from the end-cap seals, the Td5 fuel cooler O-ring kit may be the more suitable repair. If the assembly itself is damaged or badly corroded, replacing the complete cooler is the cleaner repair.
