Why These Transfer Boxes Need a Dedicated Fluid
Electronically controlled active transfer boxes place different demands on the lubricant from a conventional manual gearbox or differential. The fluid must provide the correct friction behaviour for the transfer system while maintaining lubrication and protection against wear, corrosion and foam formation.
