This Defender 90 brake pressure reducing valve (NTC8836) fits later non-ABS 300TDI and TD5 models from VIN LA930456. It is also known as a brake bias valve or rear brake proportioning valve, and is used in the rear brake hydraulic circuit to reduce rear brake pressure and help balance the braking system. Fitment is specific to non-ABS Defender 90 models, so check the VIN range and braking system before ordering.

Fitment Notes
This valve is not suitable for ABS-equipped models, Defender 110, Defender 130 or later Puma TDCI Defenders. Brake hydraulic parts are safety-critical, so the surrounding brake pipes, unions, flexible hoses and mounting area should be checked when the valve is replaced.
