Description

Replacement Defender 110/130 rod-operated handbrake cable

NTC3480 is the replacement handbrake cable for right-hand-drive Defender 110 and 130 models with the earlier rod-operated transmission handbrake arrangement. It is used on vehicles around the 1986–1994 period, before the later direct cable-entry handbrake setup.

Replace the cable if the original is stretched, seized, frayed, corroded or damaged. A sticking or stretched cable can make the transmission handbrake difficult to adjust correctly, especially if the handbrake shoes and internal mechanism are otherwise serviceable.

The important check on this cable is the handbrake arrangement: it is for the rod-operated setup, not the later direct-entry cable arrangement. If your vehicle is close to the changeover period, compare the existing cable and handbrake mechanism before ordering.

For later Defender handbrake cable applications, see the SPB500200 Defender handbrake cable. For related categories, see our Defender brake parts and Defender transfer box parts.

Warranty

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.

Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
