Description
The factory catalytic converter on Td5 engines restricts exhaust flow and can reduce performance, especially on tuned vehicles. Replacing it with this 409 stainless steel de-cat downpipe provides:
- Faster turbo spool and stronger throttle response
- Improved power delivery, especially on remapped engines
- Enhanced exhaust tone without excessive noise
- Long-lasting corrosion resistance compared to mild steel
This pipe is a direct-fit replacement for the original catalytic converter section, using OE mounting points for straightforward installation. Built from high-quality 409 stainless steel, it’s ideal for performance upgrades, off-road builds, and expedition Defenders or Discovery 2s.
Fitments:
- Land Rover Defender Td5 (90, 110, 130) – 1998–2006
- Land Rover Discovery 2 Td5 – 1998–2004
(Not suitable for Discovery 2 V8)
Fits all EU2 Defender and Discovery 2 where a catalytic converter is not fitted. Will also fit later vehicles however please note this would effectively remove the catalytic converter.
