Description
Replacement seal kit for Td5 water pump repairs
This Td5 water pump seal kit (PFQ10001L) is for the coolant pump / water pump fitted to Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 engines. It is used when resealing the water pump during cooling system repair work.
The original seals should be replaced if the water pump has been removed, if there is coolant staining around the pump area, or if the old seals have gone hard, flattened or damaged with age. Reusing old seals can lead to coolant leaks after reassembly.
When fitting, clean the seal grooves and mating faces carefully before reassembly. Check the water pump, pump cover, housing and fixing bolts while the area is apart.
