ProFlow replacement water pump for Td5 cooling system repairs
This ProFlow Td5 water pump fits Defender Td5 1998–2007 and Discovery 2 Td5 1998–2004. It replaces the original coolant pump under part numbers PEM500040, ERR6505 and MWP3646, and is supplied with the seals already fitted.
A worn Td5 water pump can cause coolant leaks, bearing noise from the front of the engine, poor coolant circulation or general cooling system issues. It is a sensible part to replace if there are signs of pump wear, coolant loss around the pump area, or if you are carrying out wider preventative cooling system work.
When fitting, check the condition of the coolant pump cover, bolts, hoses, thermostat and coolant. Old Td5 water pump bolts can be worn or corroded, so replacing them at the same time can avoid problems during reassembly.
