Genuine Land Rover MTF94 manual transmission fluid (STC9157) supplied in a 5L container for R380 and other gearboxes requiring MTF-94. The genuine Land Rover product is formulated around the viscosity, friction and synchroniser requirements of Rover manual transmissions rather than simply being a generic gear oil of a similar nominal viscosity.
Genuine Land Rover MTF94 for R380 Gearboxes
MTF94 uses a mineral oil base with mild-EP additives and approximates an SAE 75W-80 viscosity. Its friction characteristics support smooth synchroniser operation and light gear changes, while the mild-EP additive system provides gear and bearing protection without being corrosive to sensitive copper-alloy components.
Part number STC9157 is the genuine Land Rover 5L pack for owners, restorers and workshops requiring the Land Rover-branded fluid rather than an aftermarket MTF94 equivalent.
