Replacement early Discovery 2 transmission handbrake cable
SPB101500 is the replacement handbrake cable for early right-hand-drive Land Rover Discovery 2 models, up to chassis XA224663 / VIN 1A710608. It connects the handbrake lever to the transmission brake mechanism, so the correct cable is important for proper handbrake adjustment and operation.
Replace the cable if the original is stretched, seized, frayed, corroded or damaged. If the handbrake is still poor after adjustment, also inspect the shoes, expander, adjuster and other transmission brake parts while the cable is being replaced.
