LT230 direct-entry transmission handbrake lever repair kit
ICW100010 is the handbrake lever repair kit for LT230 transmission handbrake assemblies with the later direct-entry cable-to-lever mechanism. It is commonly used on Defender Td5, Defender TDCI Puma and Discovery 2 models, and includes the ICW100000 retaining kit.
Replace this kit if the transmission handbrake lever mechanism is worn, damaged, loose or not operating cleanly. If the handbrake is difficult to adjust or does not hold properly, also check the shoes, springs, adjuster, drum and cable while the transmission brake is apart.
This kit is best matched by the handbrake mechanism rather than by saying it fits every LT230 transfer box. It may also be found on some late Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic LT230 handbrake setups, so compare the existing cable-to-lever arrangement before ordering if you are working on an earlier or transitional vehicle.

Warranty
Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
