Stainless Td5 alternator oil feed hose upgrade
This stainless braided version is an upgraded replacement for the standard pipe and is priced below the OE version, making it a straightforward improvement rather than an expensive upgrade. The flexible hose construction helps with installation and future removal, while the stainless braided outer gives a more durable replacement than the original-style rigid pipework.
The original rigid oil feed pipe can corrode, crack around the flexible section, or weep around the crimps. That can leave oil around the alternator, front of the engine, auxiliary belt area and under-tray. If the pipe is rusty, wet with oil or showing signs of fatigue, replacing it before it fails properly is a sensible repair.
This stainless braided version is an upgraded replacement for the standard pipe. The flexible hose construction helps with installation and future removal, while the stainless braided outer gives a more durable replacement than the original-style rigid pipework.
This hose is for Td5 engines with the vacuum alternator layout. Check the existing pipe routing and alternator type before ordering if your vehicle has been modified or previously converted.
