Discovery 2 ABS shuttle valve switch replacement
SWO500030 is the ABS modulator shuttle valve switch for Land Rover Discovery 2 models. It also fits Defender models fitted with ABS brakes where this shuttle valve switch is required.
This part is commonly replaced when shuttle valve switch faults are diagnosed in the ABS system. On Discovery 2 models, these faults are often associated with ABS, traction control and hill descent warning lights, but the fault should be confirmed with suitable diagnostic equipment before ordering parts.
When replacing the shuttle valve switch on a Discovery 2, it is worth dealing with the known internal earth issue in the ABS modulator wiring at the same time. This does not change how the ABS system works; it improves reliability and helps avoid removing the switch again for the same underlying fault.
On Defender ABS models, the wire colours may differ from Discovery 2, so check the wiring layout on the vehicle before making any repair or modification.
