Replacement expansion tank cap for Discovery 2 cooling systems
This replacement expansion tank cap (PCD000070G) fits Discovery 2 Td5 and V8 models. It is also listed for Range Rover P38 and selected Range Rover L322 applications, so check the fitment tab if ordering for a vehicle other than Discovery 2.
The expansion tank cap is part of the cooling system pressure control. A tired or damaged cap can contribute to coolant loss, poor sealing or pressure-related cooling system issues. It is a sensible low-cost part to replace if the cap is old, damaged, not sealing correctly, or being changed during wider cooling system work.
This cap has a built-in overflow / pressure relief port. Make sure it is fully tightened when fitted, as the overflow port needs to be correctly positioned to work as intended.
