Description
Replacement handbrake cable for RHD Land Rover 90/110
NRC5088 is the handbrake cable for right-hand-drive Land Rover 90/110 models up to approximately 1994, from transfer box number 20D2908637E onwards. It connects the handbrake lever to the transmission brake mechanism, so correct cable fitment is important for proper handbrake adjustment and operation.
Replace the cable if the original is stretched, seized, frayed, damaged or no longer allows the transmission handbrake to be adjusted correctly. A poor handbrake can also be caused by worn shoes, seized adjuster parts or problems inside the transmission brake assembly, so inspect the rest of the mechanism while the cable is being replaced.
