This Lucas TRW brake master cylinder (LR013018G) is an OEM-quality replacement for non-ABS Land Rover Defender models. It’s the heart of the braking system, generating hydraulic pressure for all four brakes – so when the original master cylinder starts to leak internally or externally, braking performance and safety are affected.
Typical symptoms of a failing master cylinder include a soft or sinking brake pedal, the need to pump the pedal to build pressure, or brake fluid loss around the cylinder and servo. Replacing the unit with a genuine-brand Lucas TRW cylinder is the correct fix and avoids the inconsistency and poor quality often found with cheaper pattern parts.
Supplied complete with integral reservoir as shown, this unit bolts directly to the brake servo and connects to the existing pipework for a straightforward swap on vehicles built without ABS.
