Td5 ambient air pressure sensor replacement
This Lucas MHK100820L ambient air pressure sensor fits later Land Rover Td5 applications using the 4 pin AAP sensor. It is used by the Td5 engine management system to provide the ECU with atmospheric pressure information.
The AAP sensor is not the same as the inlet manifold MAP sensor. The MAP sensor reads inlet manifold pressure, while the ambient air pressure sensor reads atmospheric pressure so the ECU can make the correct fuelling and boost-related calculations.
A faulty or inaccurate Td5 ambient air pressure sensor can contribute to poor running, reduced performance, smoke, boost-related fault codes or incorrect live data readings. These symptoms can have more than one cause, so check the sensor, wiring and connector before replacing parts.
This is the 4 pin sensor variant. Please check your existing sensor and connector before ordering, as Td5 sensor fitment can vary by model year and application.
