Description

Replacement Defender transmission handbrake cable

SPB500200 is the replacement transmission handbrake cable for Land Rover Defender models from approximately 1994 onwards. It fits Defender 300TDI, Td5 and TDCI Puma models with the later handbrake cable arrangement, and is suitable for both left and right-hand-drive vehicles.

Replace the cable if the original is stretched, seized, frayed, corroded or damaged. A worn or sticking cable can make the transmission handbrake difficult to adjust correctly, even when the shoes and internal handbrake mechanism are in good condition.

This cable is for Defender handbrake setups from VIN LA935630. If your vehicle is close to the 1994 changeover, check the existing cable and handbrake arrangement before ordering.

Warranty

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.

Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
