Valeo OEM dual mass flywheel for Td5 clutch repairs

This Valeo OEM dual mass flywheel (PSD103470G) fits Land Rover Defender Td5 1998–2006 and Discovery 2 Td5 1998–2004 models. It is the correct DMF-style replacement for Td5 vehicles originally fitted with a dual mass flywheel.

The dual mass flywheel helps absorb torsional vibration from the engine and smooths clutch engagement through the drivetrain. A worn DMF can cause rattling, vibration, poor clutch feel, judder or excessive movement, especially when the gearbox is already being removed for clutch replacement.

When replacing the flywheel, check the clutch kit, spigot bush, release bearing, clutch fork, slave cylinder, crankshaft rear oil seal and bellhousing condition while the gearbox is out. Replacing related wear parts at the same time is usually more sensible than disturbing the drivetrain again later.
