Defender and Discovery 2 Td5 starter motor replacement
This NAD101240G Denso starter motor is an OE-quality replacement starter for Land Rover Defender and Discovery 2 Td5 models. It is a gear-reduction starter motor with integral solenoid, designed to deliver strong cranking performance on the Td5 engine.
A worn Td5 starter motor can cause slow cranking, clicking from the solenoid, intermittent no-start faults or unreliable starting when the vehicle is hot or cold. Battery condition, earth leads and main power cables should always be checked as part of the diagnosis, but if the starter itself is weak or failing, replacement is usually the proper repair.
Denso is the correct premium brand choice for this part. This unit is the one to fit when you want a dependable starter motor rather than an unknown-pattern replacement, especially on a Defender or Discovery 2 that still has its original or ageing starter fitted.
