Description
Denso OEM TD5 starter motor for Defender TD5 and Discovery 2 TD5, supplied as a complete gear-reduction starter motor with the solenoid fitted. Denso DSN600 replaces Land Rover NAD101240 and NAD101240E and cross-references Denso 228000-7220. The Denso manufacture is the main distinction here, providing the OEM starter motor rather than a general aftermarket replacement.

Complete Starter Motor or Solenoid Repair?
Worn solenoid contacts are a common cause of the familiar single-click, no-crank fault on the original Denso TD5 starter. If the starter motor itself remains serviceable, the TD5 starter motor solenoid rebuild kit replaces the main internal contact parts, including the copper terminal studs. Slow cranking, excessive starter noise or wear within the motor normally points towards replacing the complete starter motor.
The NAD101240 TD5 starter motor remains available separately as the standard aftermarket replacement for the same Defender TD5 and Discovery 2 TD5 fitment.

Standard UK shipments are normally sent with DPD. UK orders containing oils or fluids are normally sent with DHL where required, because some carriers restrict liquid shipments.

Our extended returns policy automatically applies to individual products purchased for less than £250 including VAT. Products costing £250 or more may still be accepted for return at our discretion.

Warranty
Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
