Replacement O-ring for the Td5 water pump housing
This Td5 water pump housing to block O-ring (ERR6711G) fits Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 engines. It seals the joint between the water pump housing and the engine block.
The O-ring should be replaced if the water pump housing is removed, if there is coolant staining around the joint, or if the seal has gone hard, flattened or damaged with age. Reusing an old O-ring can lead to coolant leaks after reassembly.
When fitting, clean the mating faces carefully and make sure the old seal has been fully removed before refitting the housing. Check the surrounding coolant hoses, water pump and related seals while the area is apart.
