Genuine Garrett replacement turbo for Defender Td5 and Discovery 2
This Genuine Garrett Td5 turbocharger is the correct brand-new replacement turbo for Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 models using LR017315 / PMF000040. It is supplied with the Garrett gasket kit and does not require an exchange unit.
Replace the turbo if the original unit has excessive shaft play, oil leakage, damaged compressor or turbine blades, heavy smoke linked to turbo wear, boost control problems, or a seized / failing turbocharger. Before fitting a new turbo, check the oil feed, oil drain, air intake pipework and intercooler hoses so the new unit is not damaged by an existing fault.
Because this is a brand-new Genuine Garrett unit, there is no exchange turbo to return and no surcharge to pay. That keeps the job simpler and avoids the uncertainty that can come with remanufactured turbochargers.
