Description
Garrett OEM TD5 turbocharger for all Defender TD5 and Discovery 2 TD5 engines. Supplied as a complete, brand-new turbocharger assembly with a Garrett fitting gasket kit, LR017315 replaces earlier references PMF000040, PMF500040 and PMF100460. Garrett supplied the original TD5 turbocharger, making this the OEM replacement for retaining the standard turbo setup. The unit is supplied outright, with no exchange surcharge and no old turbo to return.
Loss of boost, reduced power, excessive turbo noise, exhaust smoke, oil leakage or excessive movement in the turbo shaft can point to a worn or damaged turbocharger. Intake hoses, intercooler connections, wastegate control and the turbo oil supply should also be checked, as faults elsewhere in the system can produce similar symptoms.

Turbo oil feed and drain pipework should be checked whenever a turbocharger is replaced. Restricted, leaking or contaminated oil lines can damage the replacement unit. The TD5 turbo oil feed and drain pipe kit replaces both original pipes with a braided feed line and two-piece stainless drain pipe, supplied with the required washers and fittings.

Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
