    Description

    Delphi LT230 transmission brake shoe set

    LR180756G is a Delphi replacement shoe set for the LT230 drum-type transmission handbrake assembly. These shoes fit Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1, Discovery 2, Range Rover Classic and P38 applications using the relevant LT230 transmission brake setup.

    Replace the shoes if the handbrake is weak, uneven, snatching, worn or contaminated with oil. Oil contamination from the LT230 rear output area can quickly spoil the friction material, so check for leaks before fitting new brake shoes.

    While the transmission brake is apart, inspect the handbrake drum, shoe fitting kit, adjuster and lever mechanism. New shoes will only work properly if the drum surface is serviceable, the hardware is secure and the handbrake can be adjusted correctly.
