Td5 crank sensor replacement for Defender and Discovery 2
This NSC100790A crankshaft position sensor fits Land Rover Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 engines. It is a PR2 replacement sensor for Td5 applications where a standard replacement crank sensor is required.
The Td5 crank sensor provides the engine ECU with the crankshaft speed signal. If the ECU loses that signal, the engine may crank but not start, cut out intermittently, lose RPM signal or refuse to restart until the fault clears.
This sensor is a direct plug-in replacement and does not require programming. Before fitting, check the sensor wiring and connector condition, especially if the fault is intermittent or the vehicle has already had a crank sensor replaced.
