Ravenol VMO SAE 5W-40 is the engine oil we use for our premium Td5 service kits. It is a fully synthetic 5W-40 oil with VW 505.01 approval, making it a strong choice for Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 servicing where you want more than a basic service oil.
The Td5 is a hard-working unit-injector diesel, so oil choice matters. VMO is especially relevant because VW 505.01 was developed for pump-jet / unit-injector diesel engines, with strong high-load protection for engines where the top end and injector drive system work hard.
