LOF POWERboost adaptor for upgrading Defender brake servo assistance
The LOF POWERboost adaptor kit is designed for non-ABS Land Rover Defender models where you want stronger brake servo assistance without changing the whole braking system. It allows the later double-diaphragm Defender servo to be fitted while keeping the original brake master cylinder correctly positioned.
This is a strong upgrade for suitable Defenders used on the road, for towing, for larger tyres, or where the standard brake pedal feel is heavier than you would like. It increases the assistance applied through the servo, reducing pedal effort and improving brake response when fitted to a braking system in good condition.
Fitment check before ordering
This kit is for later non-ABS Defender vehicles using the LR013018 / LR013018G type master cylinder layout. As a simple check, the vehicle should have three brake pipes coming from the master cylinder. If your Defender has ABS, or uses a different master cylinder and pipe layout, this is not the correct kit.

Servo and brake fluid
The servo is not included with this adaptor kit. For the matching later double-diaphragm servo, see the Defender brake servo / brake booster unit.
Brake fluid is also available separately if the system is being opened or bled during the conversion: Ravenol DOT 4 LV brake fluid.
Braking system condition
This upgrade increases brake assistance, so the rest of the braking system needs to be in serviceable condition. Worn brake hoses, corroded pipes, tired unions, leaking seals or seized bleed nipples should be dealt with before relying on the upgrade.
On 2.4 and 2.2 TDCI Defenders, additional brake pipe work may be needed when fitting the later servo, so allow for brake line work and bleeding as part of the job.

Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
