We are excited to announce a new partnership with FedEx.
A two week trial has now been completed and we have now added FedEx as a permanent delivery option.
The cost of delivery of Land Rover parts has always been a concern for us. We have for many years used DHL Express and DHL Parcel however over the last six months we have seen increased costs and reduced reliability with either one or the other.
The introduction of FedEx means that based on the volume of parcels we send with them we can also reduce our shipping costs, now starting at just £8.75+VAT for orders within mainland UK. This is now not much more than a Royal Mail small parcel, and since it's not Royal Mail managing it then it will actually arrive. It means than even for the smallest orders the delivery cost is more viable.
FedEx offer a global service and we are also looking at ways to utilise them for our international deliveries, which currently remain provided by DHL Express. We are confident that substantial savings are on the horizon here. We are fully aware that current international shipping costs are high, and despite conversations with DHL about this we have not seen any resolution. What we have been able to do is add a second option for certain countries - an Economy (road) service. This is slightly slower but substantially less expensive in most cases.
A small number of international deliveries have also been executed by FedEx as part of the trial and we are pleased that all made it to their destinations on time and without issue. Destinations included Australia, Belgium, Norway, Canada and New Zealand.
Saturday deliveries will also move to FedEx. This Saturday option will be displayed on the website only on Thursdays and Fridays for qualifying orders. Anyone wishing to book a Saturday delivery before this can contact us.
As always all customers are also welcome to collect their orders direct from us in north Bedfordshire. We can often accommodate out of hours collections for those urgent orders.
If you would like to find out more about Deliveries please see here, or you can contact us. We welcome all feedback about your deliveries, good or bad. We use this information as part of our continual assessment process.
